The treatment for worry lines can be performed in about 15-20 minutes – the injections are not painful, and there are very few possible side effects. There may be some swelling or redness at the injection sites, but these will go away in the next 24-48 hours in most cases. It is important not to rub or massage the area in the following days to ensure the neurotoxin is not moved to other areas.
Botox can take 7-10 days to relax the muscles and eliminate the worry lines on the forehead. Once the neuromodulator effects take place, they can keep the brow smooth and youthful for about 3-4 months. The amount of Botox needed to achieve a smooth brow can vary from patient to patient.
